Your item will be listed on our website giving it maximum exposure to the industry. All sales and purchases between the parties are confidential up to the point of sale and information is withheld from the public domain.

How we started...
The Grape Exchange Ltd was launched in 2021, after receiving feedback from many of our customers that agreements between buyers and sellers of fruit & bulk wine were sometimes falling through at the last minute
We recognised the need for a structured platform to give customers the security of binding contracts in this fast-growing industry. Both buyers and sellers require this safety net to avoid last minute changes of mind that can put a great deal of financial pressure onto a business.

Paul Woodrow-Hill

My career in viticulture began in 1987 at Denbies Wine Estate where I played a key role in the vineyard’s transition from 40 to 250 acres. Realising I was passionate about pursuing a career in wine, I enrolled at Plumpton College and studied for an HND in Wine studies, gaining a distinction and the top student award. I went on to attain a Bsc (Hons) in Wine Science and a WSET Diploma.
In 2001 I set up a business providing management and consultancy services to vineyards in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset. As a result of this work I was offered the post of Vineyard Manager at Nyetimber. Inspired by the prospect of developing my craft while working on this innovative and ambitious project, I accepted. Under my management Nyetimber increased from 35 to over 400 acres and is now the leading sparkling wine producer in the UK.
Since 2011, inspired by the dynamic future of UK wine, I have dedicated myself to providing a first class service to wine growers around the UK, offering expertise gained from over 35 years in the industry.
My background lies firmly in wine where I’ve acquired valuable expertise in the management of vineyards and wineries, as well as on the commercial front of sales and marketing.
During my career I’ve worked across the UK and Europe in various roles, including the management of a wine merchants in Lincolnshire, and in 2020, started as a Vineyard Manager for Vine Care UK.
Myself and Paul Woodrow-Hill identified a lack of cooperation between wineries and vineyards establishing The Grape Exchange Ltd, aiming to bridge the existing gap. I’m therefore passionate for grapes, wine and the resulting relationships of working with the two.
